His objective in creating this website is to fill up the information gap on Latin America in India,enhance interest and share his passion for this fascinating region.

He is currently Ambassador of India to Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay since October 2007.
- He was Consul General of India in Sao Paulo from 1996 to 2000 and was Ambassador to Venezuela 2000-2003. He was Head of the Latin American and Caribbean Division in the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India from sept 2004 to sept 2007. He has visited most of the countries in the region.

Launching of this website
The website was launched on Friday 26 August 2005 at 7.30 pm
at " F " Bar, New Delhi with a Salsa Party, the biggest one ever held in delhi with 280 persons.
The event was hosted by EximBank and CII.
The Minister of State for External Affairs Rao Inderjit Singh was the chief guest. EximBank CMD Shri Venkat Subramanian and CII DDG Shri Bhuyan were present.
A visiting Cuban band "Waikiki" played salsa music with Pedro from Venezuela as the DJ. There was a lively salsa dance competition. 280 guests attended this party.
